In December 2019, The Hunger Games actor was first spotted with the Sydney-based model. They’ve been seen kissing on the beach and going out to lunch in Los Angeles since then. Hemsworth told PEOPLE in May 2020 that the couple was quarantining together in Australia.
Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks rarely post on social media, they have been spotted in other people’s Instagram photos, most notably those of Hemsworth’s family. They made their official public debut together in June 2021 at a fundraising event.
Hemsworth previously married Miley Cyrus, but the couple divorced after less than a year of marriage and 10 years of on-and-off dating.
In October 2019, shortly after his divorce from Cyrus, Hemsworth was briefly linked to Australian actress Maddison Brown. That December, however, he was photographed for the first time with Brooks, and the couple has been together ever since.

Although it’s unclear how Hemsworth and Brooks met, they were photographed together for the first time in Byron Bay, Australia, in December 2019. Hemsworth introduced Brooks to his parents, Craig and Leonie Hemsworth, at lunch, and Brooks was seen hugging the two. Hemsworth’s representative did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
On December 24, 2019, Hemsworth and Cyrus finalized the terms of their divorce. The actor filed for divorce in August 2018, but the divorce did not become final until February 2020.
Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks were getting “serious,” according to PEOPLE in January 2020.
“Liam and Gabriella have spent a lot of time in Australia together,” a source told PEOPLE. “Liam has been in a great mood,” they said, adding that the two enjoy exercising, surfing, and relaxing at the beach together.
The source also confirmed that Brooks had met the rest of the Hemsworth family.
