Selena Gomez claims that she and The Weeknd parted ways “as best friends” on November 30, 2017.
For the first time, Gomez opened up about the breakup, telling Billboard that she was “really proud” of the “remarkable” way her relationship with The Weeknd ended.
The fact that she and The Weeknd have such a genuine friendship is something she said to the publication. “We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me. I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life.”
