He graduated from Elkins High School and enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio, but dropped out during his sophomore year to pursue a musical career.
Scott and longtime friend Christ Holloway formed the music duo “The Graduates,” releasing their untitled first EP on Myspace in 2008. He formed “The Classmates” with schoolmate OG Chess in 2009, releasing two projects together. He moved to New York City after dropping out of college to work with friend Mike Waxx. Scott moved to Los Angeles after only four months in New York, frustrated with the lack of progress. He continued to produce music while sleeping on a friend’s couch in Los Angeles.
